What a year to task ourselves with whittling down a shortlist of award-worthy companies and nonprofits based on their philanthropy and good deeds around Baltimore.

Laurie Latuda Kinkel will kick off our Sharing Session by talking about the Baltimore Community Foundation’s new strategic plan and current priorities. Following that, participants will share with one another their current projects and grantmaking, as well as questions/struggles.
On November 13, Maryland Philanthropy Network convened more than 100 community leaders for deep conversation with Edgar Villanueva author of Decolonizing Wealth: Indigenous Wisdom to Heal Divides and Restore Balance. To continue this discussion, please join us for a peer conversation about the book, Decolonizing Wealth and reflect on Mr. Villanueva’s remarks. For this conversation, we’ll mostly focus on Part One of the book, “Where it Hurts” and the themes outlined within.
This 60-minute call is to discuss the role that the Baltimore Workforce Funders Collaborative can play over the next weeks/months during the COVID-19 crisis.

The purpose of the Arts Funders Affinity Group is to engage and educate Maryland funders about the dynamic local arts and cultural scene and the many opportunities it presents.

Join us to meet some local leaders working on this issue. We’ll hear about Baltimore Ceasefire from Marylander of the Year, Erricka Bridgeford, and “We Speak Up,” a collaborative effort between Mothers of Murdered Sons and Daughters United, Metro-Crime Stoppers and the local faith community whose goal is fight the anti-snitching culture in Baltimore.
