The Maryland Philanthropy Network and Chesapeake Bay Funders Network invite funders to a welcome reception for Peter Goodwin, the new President of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Sciences (UMCES). Dr. Goodwin succeeds Dr. Don Boesch who was UMCES President for 27 years. A recent Baltimore Sun article covered the transition. The reception will be held at the Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology (IMET), which is housed in the Columbus Center in the Inner Harbor. A tour of the IMET labs will be offered during the event.
