Businesses large and small will be critical partners as the world continues to heal from the global pandemic and its economic impacts. The field of corporate philanthropy will shift and adapt to make the most of limited resources of human and financial capital to help communities in their back yard and beyond. Maureen Flynn from Changing Our World - a consulting company dedicated to helping the private sector act as a force for public good - will join us along with other Corporate Social Responsibility executives from across the country to talk about how this work continues to evolve to meet community need.
So far this year we've heard from a number of public health experts and local leaders at the forefront of the COVID-19 vaccine efforts across the state as well as funders who have taken up advocacy efforts to support this huge undertaking during these bi-weekly calls. In other programs, we've learned more about how school districts are navigating learning loss and safe reopenings; efforts to address increasing housing instability; economic impacts and disparities of the pandemic; strategies to support older adults navigating an ever-expanding digital divide.
Join your Maryland Philanthropy Network colleagues for a chance to reflect on all these conversions, discuss actions you've taken, outstanding questions you may have, and to continue to process how philanthropy can best support communities in this particularly challenging time.
