The purpose of Funders Together to End Homelessness Baltimore (FTEHB) is to bring private and public funders together to focus on structural and racial inequities related to housing instability, homelessness, and supportive services, and to prevent and end homelessness in the Baltimore region.
The Prenatal-to-Five (PN-5) Affinity Group was created to help funders who are interested in supporting expectant parents, and children from birth through age five and their families improve their grantmaking by learning more about initiatives, educational research, and best practices. In 2023, Mayor Brandon Scott, BUILD, and the Greater Baltimore Committee formed an agreement to end the crisis of vacant and abandoned properties in Baltimore City over the next 15 years. This partnership is committed to a “whole blocks” approach that will leverage an estimated $3 billion in public investment — including $300 million in private and philanthropic contributions — to bring an additional $5 billion in private investments to neighborhoods across Baltimore. We invite business and philanthropic leaders to a briefing about this strategy. The session will highlight specific areas where expertise and resources from the business and philanthropic communities can support a historic public-private partnership to eliminate vacant housing and build safe, stable neighborhoods where all city residents can thrive.

Please join Maryland Philanthropy Network in partnership with the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore for an exciting day of learning and networking with fellow philanthropic leaders. This half-day program will focus on the unique challenges and opportunities faced by grantmaking organizations and communities serving rural Maryland. We will learn from Dr. Yen Dang, Professor of the Rural Health Disparities Program at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and Special Secretary Carmel Martin, Governor’s Office for Children. Gain insight and understanding regarding social determinants of health and Governor Moore's new place-based strategies associated with the E.N.O.U.G.H Act, which aims to reduce the causes of childhood poverty in communities across Maryland. Participants will then enjoy lunch and an engaging conversation with local voices to discuss shared goals around the racial, social, and economic inequities facing rural Maryland and how philanthropy might respond.
During last year's Green Funders Legislative Debrief, the Maryland Climate Partners Coalition Steering Committee provided an update to funders on the progress of implementing the Climate Solutions Now Act. In collaboration with Chesapeake Bay Funders Network, Maryland Philanthropy Network's Green Funders Affinity Group invites you to learn more about what's next for this work as the Climate Partners track progress on state goals, educate key stakeholders, and advocate for the full enactment of all components of the law.
