Mid-Session Legislative Update with Strong Schools Maryland
On November 17th, members met with Strong Schools Maryland to prepare for this year’s legislative session; Maryland’s first-ever virtual legislative session. Joe Francaviglia, Executive Director, and Shamoyia Gardiner, Deputy Director provided a review of where the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future stands, an introduction to the focus for the 2021 legislative session and perspective around philanthropy’s role. Maryland Philanthropy Network is pleased to welcome back Shamoyia Gardiner for a mid-session legislative update. Join the conversation to gain insight into the state’s response to education considering COVID-19.
Legislative decisions made around the state’s education landscape impact topics ranging from community safety to accessible healthcare to a skilled workforce. Funders across different interest areas are encouraged to join for greater coordination to address complex systems across MPN’s membership!
This event is for Maryland Philanthropy Network members and invited guests.
