Maryland is home to a diverse array of parenting programs—each designed to support healthy child, parent, and family development in different ways. In this joint program of the Prenatal to Five and Education Funders Affinity Groups, funders will get a clear picture of the statewide landscape and learn how early childhood parenting supports directly influence children’s learning journeys, beginning at birth.

At this briefing, you will hear from authors of the newly released Abell Report on the City’s contracting process and learn about the findings from a joint Middendorf/MPN study on the City’s permitting and grantmaking systems. Through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and case studies, this study sheds light on what makes capital projects in the fields of education and youth development succeed—or fail—and offers actionable insights for funders striving to increase the effectiveness of their investments.
