How Parenting Programs Lay the Groundwork for Children’s Learning Journeys and Family Thriving
Maryland is home to a diverse array of parenting programs—each designed to support healthy child, parent, and family development in different ways. From attachment-based models to group programs and home-visiting approaches, these interventions strengthen the early relationships and interactions that support early learning and build the foundations for later success in school and beyond.
In this joint program of the Prenatal to Five and Education Funders Affinity Groups, funders will get a clear picture of the statewide landscape and learn how early childhood parenting supports directly influence children’s learning journeys, beginning at birth. Dr. Brenda Jones Harden and Dr. Lisa Berlin will share the overview. Parenting program representatives will join to provide brief snapshots to illustrate how investing early builds the foundations for academic achievement and long-term well-being.
