I had the great pleasure of working with Maryland Philanthropy Network on the Next Generation Project this winter. Working closely with Betsy and Adam, I served as overall project manager. It was a wonderful way to connect my experience with Maryland Philanthropy Network as member of a local family foundation and my work as a social enterprise consultant.

All Maryland Philanthropy Network members are invited to join Julia Baez and Janelle Gendrano of Baltimore’s Promise, Sara Cooper of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, and Youth Advisors Cesia Calero and J’Naya Harris to hear about and discuss the Youth and Young Adult Grantmaking Initiative, a new participatory and collaborative funding opportunity. This youth-led grantmaking structure enables young people to allocate resources that directly impact themselves and their peers. It also incorporates capacity building, coaching, technical assistance, and compensation for Youth Grantmakers.

Join this webinar to learn from three organizers and movement builders about how they are fighting back against discrimination and the exploitation of immigrant communities while building immigrant and worker power in rural areas.

The Board of Directors of Maryland Philanthropy Network is pleased to announce Maggie Gunther Osborn as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 12, 2021. “Through a robust and extensive search process, Maggie was the clear choice as a leader who brings a bird’s eye view of the philanthropic sector, a demonstrated commitment to racial justice, and a vision for supporting philanthropic impact across her home state of Maryland,” shared Carmel Roques, Maryland Philanthropy Network’s Board Chair, in a message to MPN members.
Communities around the globe are currently responding to an outbreak of respiratory disease, known commonly as "COVID -19", which is caused by the virus “SARS-CoV-2”. As we do during times of disaster, Maryland Philanthropy Network will serve as a clearinghouse for resources and information about relief and recovery efforts to aid Maryland's philanthropies response. This page will be updated as new information is received, so please check it regularly.
