Join Maryland Philanthropy Network for a peer learning exchange for funders supporting environmental and sustainability issues in Maryland! We take some time to integrate our learnings, share what we are thinking about and focusing on, and discuss our plans for the coming year. Lightly structured, these peer-to-peer exchange events are designed to integrate and learn from others in philanthropy through facilitation of the following: strategy sharing and exchange of ideas around what other funders are working on, stimulating new ways of thinking by sharing learnings and creating an environment conducive to discovery among the community of funders, and relationship building.

Many hospitals are limiting visitors because of the COVID-19 pandemic, so have you considered who should make decisions about your care if you’re incapacitated?
Please join Maryland Philanthropy Network and your nonprofit colleagues for a presentation by experienced Certified Public Accountant, Leah Abrams of L. Abrams & Company, LLC. Ms. Abrams will describe the main financial management issues currently facing nonprofits, various approaches to developing a budget, ways to tell the story of your work through numbers, and what funders are looking for in your budget. There will also be time to have your specific questions and concerns answered. You’ll leave with practical tips and resources for further learning about budgeting and nonprofit financial management.
All funders interested in community development, workforce development, affordable housing and the creative arts are welcome to attend this briefing. Part presentation, part workshop, this briefing will lift up a new model for community growth; one that increases the impact for low- and moderate-income families while bringing vital services back into historically marginalized neighborhoods.
This program has been POSTPONED and will be rescheduled. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Our presenters will be YOU and your colleagues. We will have an open conversation to deepen our relationships and learn from each other's grantmaking experience in the community.
