Howard County funders are coordinating to rapidly raise funds and deploy critical resources to nonprofits in Howard County through HoCoRespond.com, with the goal of raising $100,000 in the next 10 days.
There is definite irony to the recurring proposals to decrease incentives for charitable giving.

Join Maryland Philanthropy Network’s Health Funders’ Behavioral Health Workgroup for a sharing session to learn how your peers are approaching their giving for 2025 and highlight notable grants and their impact.
On January 31st, participants uttered these phrases in frustration and despair during United Way of Central Maryland’s Walk a Mile Experience (WAM), a poverty simulation, which the Maryland Philanthropy Network (Maryland Philanthropy Network) co-hosted with the Baltimore Women’s Giving Circle and the Jewish Women’s Giving Foundation, a project of The ASSOCIATED.
In a December, 2009 Maryland Philanthropy Network program, the Nation
535 philanthropic leaders, representing nearly every state across the country, issued a letter to the US Department of Commerce with a clear message: Don’t cut the census short.
