Maryland Philanthropy Network’s Aging Innovations 2024 Summit to celebrate Older Americans Month and express appreciation for the dedication and commitment to those working in the field of aging. This year's theme is Older Adults are Powerful Assets! which will demonstrate the impactful value older adults give daily as employees, volunteers, and leaders. The keynote speaker will be Bradley Schurman, author of Super Age: Decoding the Demographic Destiny.

Please join Maryland Philanthropy Network’s Maryland Aging Innovations Group for the 2023 Summit to encourage Maryland’s commitment to develop a multisector plan for aging that will engage and impact all Maryland residents. Along with sharing the local ‘age-friendly’ framework urban and rural Area Agencies on Aging are implementing; participants will hear about New York’s innovative efforts in creating a state-wide resource that transforms the infrastructure and coordination of services for a rapidly aging population and people with disabilities. We’ll end with inspirational Creative Arts Projects for older adults!

After three years, we are delighted to offer this event in-person at the beautiful Vollmer Center at Cylburn Arboretum.

Our keynote speaker, Dr. Mustafa Santiago Ali, a renowned thought-leader, strategist, policymaker, and community liaison, will help us understand climate justice as central to the pursuit of racial justice and freedom. Kondwani Fidel, Baltimore native and globally recognized poet, will once again share his thought-provoking poetry with us, recognizing that arts and creativity have an indelible role in moving people to action for lasting social change.
