Foundations on the Hill (FOTH) is an annual opportunity for grantmakers and regional associations to meet with their federal lawmakers to personally discuss their work with members of Congress. The next Foundations on the Hill will take place virtually March 16 - 18 and 23 - 25, 2021. Through a mix of virtual meetings, digital advocacy opportunities, and social media engagement, Foundations on the Hill attendees and advocates will take sector legislative priorities directly to members of Congress, sharing the vision of a courageous philanthropic sector that catalyzes a just and equitable society where all can participate and prosper.
Maryland Philanthropy Network invites you to continue the conversation we started at our 2020 Annual Meeting | Reimagine Philanthropy through a series of events designed as opportunities for transformative change. This next conversation in our Reimagine Philanthropy series will explore the topic of Economic Justice and the Social Determinant of Health, Work, and Wellbeing. Through the lens of trust-based philanthropy, our speakers will share the stories of how they have grapple with the need for transformative philanthropic practices that include partnerships with communities to address root causes of disparate health and employment outcomes.

It could not be clearer in those moments how firmly engrained white supremacy is in all the structures of our nation. The response from law enforcement at the Capitol was unrecognizable from the over-policing that occurs in many of the communities we serve and represent. The upswell of white supremacists came from across our country and from nearly every community. We at Maryland Philanthropy Network stand with our colleagues and leaders across the country in calling for change. Our communities and our future depend on it.
