Baltimore’s Promise and Maryland Philanthropy Network welcome Trabian Shorters to facilitate a workshop on Asset-Framing, an award-winning cognitive framework coined by him in 2013 when he was Vice President of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Asset-Framing® helps social impact leaders to apply social psychology to achieve greater social impact without relying on fear or stigma to engage people.
The Columbia Association (CA) and the Community Foundation of Howard County (CFHoCo) are proud to announce a new partnership to support the Howard County community through a significant grant initiative. This collaboration underscores the commitment of both organizations to promoting social welfare and addressing the needs of residents. Under the terms of the agreement, CA will provide CFHoCo with a grant of $125,000 to be distributed during the Community Foundation’s open Community Grants Program this year.

Please join Maryland Philanthropy Network’s Maryland Aging Innovations Group for the 2023 Summit to encourage Maryland’s commitment to develop a multisector plan for aging that will engage and impact all Maryland residents. Along with sharing the local ‘age-friendly’ framework urban and rural Area Agencies on Aging are implementing; participants will hear about New York’s innovative efforts in creating a state-wide resource that transforms the infrastructure and coordination of services for a rapidly aging population and people with disabilities. We’ll end with inspirational Creative Arts Projects for older adults!
