I had the great pleasure of working with Maryland Philanthropy Network on the Next Generation Project this winter. Working closely with Betsy and Adam, I served as overall project manager. It was a wonderful way to connect my experience with Maryland Philanthropy Network as member of a local family foundation and my work as a social enterprise consultant.

The Prenatal to Five Impact Collaborative (PN-5 Impact Collaborative) meets each month.
The Prenatal to Five Impact Collaborative is a peer group focused on learning together about the needs of pregnant women and families with children up to age 5 and how to best support them. This meeting will discuss advocacy and the roles philanthropy can play in systems change work. At this program, panelists will describe how the cases of unaccompanied children and vulnerable immigrant adults are being handled by the legal services community, as well as the efforts taken to address their mental health and other basic needs. They will also discuss the Multi-Ethnic Domestic Violence Project (MEDOVI), which creates an avenue for victims who are immigrants and their children to get legal status; and how Maryland’s legal community is gearing up to serve even more immigrants.
