This peer exchange is designed to share information about neighborhood and community investment grantmaking particularly as we work together to revitalize Baltimore communities. Whether you are considering making a neighborhood grant for the first time or have a dedicated community development portfolio, this session will provide an opportunity to learn from one another and to explore future possibilities for joint action.
This new report highlights ongoing initiatives to create jobs through economic inclusion in Baltimore. Through interviews, it documents best practices and finds that the strategies create benefits for individuals, businesses and institutions. The report calls for broader participation by businesses and institutions as well as people-focused investments and policies.
As a membership organization of foundations and corporate giving programs, the Maryland Philanthropy Network has had a longstanding interest in increasing the funding community's capacity to support and use data to inform decision making.
The Board of Directors of Maryland Philanthropy Network is pleased to announce the appointment of Danista E. Hunte as its next President and CEO, effective October 11, 2023. Danista brings with her a wealth of experience spanning over three decades in the philanthropic and non-profit sector. She most recently served as the Executive Director of Child First Authority in Baltimore and prior to that was Vice President of Community Investment for the Baltimore Community Foundation.
