2023 Grantmaker Salary and Benefits (GSB) Survey Now Open

The Council on Foundations’ 2023 Grantmaker Salary and Benefits Survey is now open and your participation is needed. Maryland Philanthropy Network is once again partnering with COF to encourage our members to participate. Members who complete the survey receive a FREE copy of the national report—a $499 value! Since 1980, the Grantmaker Salary and Benefits Report has provided the sector with the most comprehensive data on staff composition and compensation in the United States. Grantmakers rely on this annual report to inform budgeting, talent recruitment and retention strategies, and personnel policies and practices.

Baltimore City Early Care and Education Landscape Analysis: Supply, Demand, Obstacles, and Opportunities

The Baltimore City Early Care and Education Landscape Analysis was commissioned by the Baltimore City Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC) and funded by a grant from the Maryland State Department of Education through the Family League of Baltimore City. Additional funding from members of the Prenatal to Five Impact Collaborative at Maryland Philanthropy Network supported editing and design. The Fund for Educational Excellence and the Family League of Baltimore provided project coordination, leadership, and guidance throughout.

Join Maryland Philanthropy Network for a peer learning exchange for funders supporting environmental and sustainability issues in Maryland! We take some time to integrate our learnings, share what we are thinking about and focusing on, and discuss our plans for the coming year. Lightly structured, these peer-to-peer exchange events are designed to integrate and learn from others in philanthropy through facilitation of the following: strategy sharing and exchange of ideas around what other funders are working on, stimulating new ways of thinking by sharing learnings and creating an environment conducive to discovery among the community of funders, and relationship building.

A collaborative project of the BIP and Central Baltimore Partnership, this new directory of Baltimore nonprofit and public workforce development organizations is now available to help employers and community stakeholders find workforce partners to meet hiring needs. It summarizes the work of more than 45 organizations that support Baltimore City workers by offering skills training, eliminating barriers to employment, and facilitating job placement.
