Maryland Philanthropy Network is pleased to host our annual Responsive Philanthropy in the Black Community (RPBC) Training, in partnership with the Maryland Philanthropy Network of Black Foundation Executives (ABFE).
Join Maryland Philanthropy Network, Technology Association of Grantmakers (TAG) Executive Director, Chantal Foster, and TAG Survey Committee Member, Tess Hanrahan of the Hewlett Foundation, for this interactive webinar that will explore key findings and trends from TAG's 2022 State of Philanthropy Tech survey just in time for your 2023 planning. Now in its third version, this report compiles results from 277 grantmaking organizations throughout North America, the EU, and UK to better understand the technology environment, practices, and perceptions in philanthropy. The findings are fascinating!
This is the second session of a 6-part webinar series on Demystifying Trust-Based Philanthropy focused on addressing common questions, clarifying misconceptions, and exploring ways to overcome obstacles in implementing trust-based philanthropy. In this session, we’ll unpack the difference between unrestricted funding that is deployed in a trust-based way, and what it looks like when it’s not. We’ll also share case studies from funders who have shifted from project-specific to majority unrestricted funding, as well as those who have embedded trust-based values within semi-restricted grants. Participants can expect to gain greater clarity on the philosophy behind unrestricted funding in a trust-based context, and strategies for aligning trust-based values with the way grants are structured and deployed.
Join Maryland Philanthropy Network's Prenatal to Five Funders Affinity Group for a 3-part virtual learning series highlighting the biological, social, and systemic foundations of Early Relational Health. This will be an opportunity to engage with national and local experts, connect with fellow leaders, learn from inspiring real-world examples, and explore how fostering strong, nurturing relationships can transform the lives of infants, toddlers, and their families – laying a solid foundation for success in school, work and life.
