Join members of the Baltimore Workforce Funders Collaborative on a visit to the National Park Service Historic Preservation Training Center in Frederick, MD to learn about opportunities to help entry level construction workers build careers in the maintenance and preservation of historic properties.
The child care and preschool system is vital to the stability of the labor force and economy, and yet the entire system is balanced on the passion of women who work in child care because they delight in children and clearly understand they are contributing to the future - but experience employment in the sector as underappreciated and unsustainable. Through this program, we will share eye-opening learnings gleaned from an innovative model that connects the voices and perspectives of Baltimore child care professionals and caregivers with systems representatives who hold positional power.
