The Baltimore Workforce Funders Collaborative is working with Byte Back, Pass IT On, and the Baltimore Digital Equity Coalition to identify a trainer(s) who will develop and facilitate a trauma-informed care training for up to 15 workforce development nonprofit professionals. The goal of the training will be to increase the capacity of direct service agencies by applying trauma-specific strategies to their normal service deliveries, improving the services provided to clients who have experienced trauma, and advance digital equity.
Held in partnership with the Trust-Based Philanthropy Project, this is the fifth session of a 6-part webinar series on Demystifying Trust-Based Philanthropy. During this session, we will unpack these important nuances and will highlight examples of how grantmakers are relying on rigor and continuous learning to understand impact. Participants can expect to gain a clear understanding of trust-based philanthropy’s three-pronged approach to learning and evaluation, as well as concrete tools they can use to implement in their own work. Each session will provide dedicated space for small-group peer dialogue with other MPN members about ways to implement these practices into your grantmaking.

This session will focus on the correlation of the significant increase in diagnosis of dementia felt within communities of color and chronic stress caused by determinants of health. Please join Maryland Philanthropy Network’s Health Funders Affinity Group and Affinity Group on Aging for our third discussion about community-based programs supported by Total Cost of Care resources. Happening during National Diabetes Awareness Month, this program will provide an overview of two of the six partnership initiatives funded through the Regional Partnership Catalyst Program and developed to address the growing diabetes epidemic in Maryland. MPN members and partners will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn about opportunities to support the efforts in a successful diabetes campaign to reduce diabetes.
