Join Maryland Philanthropy Network for a follow up meeting to the September 23rd Briefing on the City of Baltimore's Historic Plan to Address Vacant Properties. The meeting will begin with an update from the City including information about Reinvest Baltimore and the newly established coordinating council. This will be an interactive deep dive session where participants will further explore three key components of the initiative: People and Health, Infrastructure (neighborhood standard of care), and Financial Products.
What a year to task ourselves with whittling down a shortlist of award-worthy companies and nonprofits based on their philanthropy and good deeds around Baltimore.
On January 23 CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (CareFirst), one of the country’s largest not-for-profit healthcare organizations, announced plans to lease approximately 20,000 square feet of space at The Village at Mondawmin at Mond

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) received a generous donation of $5 million from the Sherman Family Foundation. The gift is intended to help the BSO introduce more children and young people to symphonic music, and will support the orchestra's various outreach initiatives to this end.
Diane Bell-McKoy, CEO of Associated Black Charities, and Mark and Patricia Joseph of the Shelter Foundation were all named to the Baltimore Sun’s 2018 Business and Civic Hall of Fame.
Laurie Latuda Kinkel will kick off our Sharing Session by talking about the Baltimore Community Foundation’s new strategic plan and current priorities. Following that, participants will share with one another their current projects and grantmaking, as well as questions/struggles.
