Join Maryland Philanthropy Network's Prenatal to Five Funders Affinity Group for a 3-part virtual learning series highlighting the biological, social, and systemic foundations of Early Relational Health. This will be an opportunity to engage with national and local experts, connect with fellow leaders, learn from inspiring real-world examples, and explore how fostering strong, nurturing relationships can transform the lives of infants, toddlers, and their families – laying a solid foundation for success in school, work and life.
Anchor institutions in Baltimore are working to strengthen minority and local purchasing to create jobs and local economic opportunities. To improve internal policies and practices, Next Street, U3 Advisors, and ML Whelley, LLC are completing reports assessing the budgetary, policy, infrastructure, and planning processes at five Baltimore anchor institutions. Participating institutions include LifeBridge Health, Maryland Institute College of Art, Notre Dame, University of Maryland Medical System, and the University of Maryland-Baltimore. Baltimore’s Promise, in partnership with the Annie E. Casey Foundation and the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, recently announced a package of 10 grants totaling roughly $525,000 through its Youth Grantmakers Initiative. The effort, which featured a group of 15 Baltimore-area youth and young adults between the ages of 16 and 25 in prominent design and decision-making roles, granted funds to 10 local organizations.
