The Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed after being struck by the 984-foot-long cargo ship, the Dali, early in the morning on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Each year brings new opportunities for the Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF) to grow its presence and increase its positive impact in Baltimore City and Baltimore County. In 2023, after a period of significant growth at the foundation and after the intensity of the first couple of years of the COVID-19 pandemic had passed, the foundation turned its focus inward to develop and launch Inspire, its new strategic plan.

Havaca Ganguly is Executive Director of The Middendorf Foundation which provides capital and one-time grants that support six areas of grantmaking focus.
