Maryland Philanthropy Network Board of Directors has initiated a search for a new executive. MPN is seeking a President and CEO who is passionate about strategic philanthropy and its potential to make a positive difference in the region. The new executive will lead the continued evolution of this respected membership organization and will uphold its commitment to being a leading voice in advancing racial equity.
This past September, the Trump Administration announced the termination of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, with all benefits to be revoked by March 2018.
Local purchasing strategies to support area businesses can generate much needed jobs for Baltimore. However collective action is also needed to be successful as well as an enabling environment to intentionally leverage anchor institution purchasing to build opportunities for area businesses and residents.
The Baltimore Workforce Funders Collaborative is working with Byte Back, Pass IT On, and the Baltimore Digital Equity Coalition to identify a trainer(s) who will develop and facilitate a trauma-informed care training for up to 15 workforce development nonprofit professionals. The goal of the training will be to increase the capacity of direct service agencies by applying trauma-specific strategies to their normal service deliveries, improving the services provided to clients who have experienced trauma, and advance digital equity.
