It is hard to forget the shock, confusion, uncertainty and disruption felt in the early days following the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
Maryland Philanthropy Network Board of Directors has initiated a search for a new executive. MPN is seeking a President and CEO who is passionate about strategic philanthropy and its potential to make a positive difference in the region. The new executive will lead the continued evolution of this respected membership organization and will uphold its commitment to being a leading voice in advancing racial equity.
The Funders Network (TFN) will host its 25th Anniversary Conference: Be Bold Together in Baltimore. TFN is a robust network of funders engaged in a broad spectrum of philanthropic work across North America, from small, rural community organizations to large urban foundations. Their Baltimore gathering will bring together place-based, regional and national funders to deepen their learning, share their strategies and broaden their professional networks. TFN’s equity-centered learning agenda is designed to inspire the bold philanthropic leadership, courageous action and meaningful collaboration needed to help unlock environmental, economic and racial justice.

In this session, you’ll hear what foundations are doing broadly to incorporate equity internally, as well as ways Maryland Philanthropy Network funders are making equity a part of their day-to-day operations. Then, you’ll have the opportunity for small group discussions and a chance to ask deeper questions of each panelist, as you create your own plan for next steps to address equity within your own foundation.
