Advancing Equity in Environmental Practice: A Conversation with Green 2.0

Advancing Equity in Environmental Practice: A Conversation with Green 2.0

Tuesday, September 24, 2019, 12:00 - 1:30 PM

As the concept of social equity becomes a more visible focus in our policies and practices, it is critical to understand the ways inequities manifest in the environmental sector. Please join the Maryland Philanthropy Network’s Green Funders for a conversation with Green 2.0, an initiative dedicated to increasing racial diversity across mainstream environmental NGOs, foundations and government agencies. Our speakers will be Whitney Tome, Executive Director of Green 2.0 and Erika West, Principal at The Raben Group.

This program will include a briefing on Green 2.0’s latest report “Leaking Talent: How People of Color are Pushed out of Environmental Organizations” as well as a discussion regarding general strategies to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion.

This program is for Maryland Philanthropy Network members and invited guests only; lunch will be served.
