Please join the Health Funders Group for a wrap-up from this year’s legislative session. Topics will include the Medicaid Supports Maryland campaign, efforts to make prescription drugs more affordable, state-level rules to protect the affordability and viability of the public health insurance marketplace, and other challenges and opportunities in healthcare policy.

Join us to learn how to navigate the advocacy landscape and explore how funders are leveraging their grantmaking to undertake advocacy activities and/or support advocates that are addressing some of the most pressing issues facing the city (e.g. housing, education, water).
NCRP Executive Director Aaron Dorfman will lead a discussion with three leaders in the philanthropic sector who have shifted their organizations from the role of funder and convener towards a more active and vocal role as partner and advocate.
By leveraging their grantmaking, local knowledge, and personal relationships, family foundations and fund holders are uniquely positioned to influence public policy.
The Forum of Regional Maryland Philanthropy Networks and the Council on Foundations are excited to announce Foundations on the Hill 2011 – scheduled for March 8-9th.
