Common Grant Revision Task Force
This meeting is for pre-identified volunteers. For Maryland Philanthropy Network members interested in participating or for other inquiries, please contact Adam Donaldson, Member Services Director. It was rescheduled from a February snow day.
In January 2003, a number of Maryland Philanthropy Network members began accepting a common grant application format. The format was developed by a working group of Maryland Philanthropy Network members representing various funders—large and small, corporate, family, and private.
In 2013, a Common Grant Revision Task Force comprised of Maryland Philanthropy Network members and community partners formed with an objective to evaluate and update the common grant. The Task Force has since restated its objective to be "to help Maryland Philanthropy Network promote transparent and streamlined grant processes that allow the staff and volunteers of philanthropic and nonprofit organizations to focus their time and expertise on fulfilling their mission."
During the February March meeting, Task Force volunteers are presenting best practices in proposal design and education materials.
