Maryland Philanthropy Network’s 2026 Maryland Aging Innovations Summit provides an opportunity to learn, network, celebrate each other’s accomplishments, and express appreciation for the dedication and commitment to those working in the field of aging. This year's theme, Designing for Longevity, will explore the creative age-well initiatives that extend along the generations and the systemic threats to aging well.
In last month’s Member Memo, I emphasized a core belief that continues to guide our work: meaningful, lasting impact in our communities depends on collaboration. No single organization can address today’s complex challenges alone. A perfect example of this belief in action took place earlier this month when we partnered with Exponent Philanthropy to host a Lean Funder Regional Gathering at our office in Baltimore.

Over 2 million people have been affected and over 200,000 people died as a result of the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti. 188,383 houses have been damaged or destroyed. Over 1.5 million displaced people living in 1,241 settlement sites. There are 4,758 schools that have been damaged or destroyed.*
