Join Maryland Philanthropy Network’s Funders Together to End Homelessness Baltimore and Aging Innovations’ Seniors and Housing Collaborative to explore the causes and consequences of homelessness and housing instability, and efforts to prevent and end homelessness and ameliorate the effects of homelessness and housing instability on health.
Over 2 million people have been affected and over 200,000 people died as a result of the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti. 188,383 houses have been damaged or destroyed. Over 1.5 million displaced people living in 1,241 settlement sites. There are 4,758 schools that have been damaged or destroyed.*

Havaca Ganguly is Executive Director of The Middendorf Foundation which provides capital and one-time grants that support six areas of grantmaking focus. When Havaca took over the one staff position in late 2019, the foundation had a chance to reflect on their practices and reset operations.
