Baltimore’s Promise and Maryland Philanthropy Network welcome Trabian Shorters to facilitate a workshop on Asset-Framing, an award-winning cognitive framework coined by him in 2013 when he was Vice President of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Asset-Framing® helps social impact leaders to apply social psychology to achieve greater social impact without relying on fear or stigma to engage people.
As a community dependent on the next generation, we cannot let young people’s future in Baltimore be determined by their zip code, resources or network. That’s not how you create a thriving city, let alone a thriving society.

As funders across the state navigate decision-making in the current funding environment, the appraisal of nonprofit organizations’ financial health and fiscal stewardship holds new importance. Join the Baltimore Community Foundation and Maryland Philanthropy Network for a funder-to-funder discussion about assessing nonprofit organizations’ financial health.
This quarterly Roundtable will focus on how funders are shifting philanthropic behavior, norms, narratives, and governance policies particularly around the calls to action found in the Level Up Campaign. The Level Up campaign is proudly hosted by CHANGE Philanthropy and its ten partner Philanthropic Infrastructure Organizations. Jaqueline Tucker, Vice President of Community Partnerships and Strategy at the Meyer Foundation, will kick off the conversation by sharing the Foundation’s work in this area.
