This full-day professional development workshop for grantmakers is taught by the region's experienced practitioners and is designed for trustees and staff of foundations, giving circles and corporate giving, individuals who are exploring how to organize significant charitable giving, and beginning and intermediate grantmakers.

During this interactive virtual session, corporate grantmakers are invited to hear from members of the Corporate Racial Equity Alliance design team and Sarah Keh at Prudential Financial, who will share examples and lessons learned from the company’s efforts to advance racial equity within Newark, where it is headquartered. In facilitated small group discussions, you will have a chance to reflect and brainstorm with regional peers.

Our distinguished panel will share their expertise and intense work to create and sustain a 988 mental health crisis hotline. Together we will explore national and state models and their funding supports, the development plan for the initiative, and learn about Maryland’s need to implement and advocate for its urgency at the 2022 Legislative session.
