Baltimore Workforce Funders Collaborative (BWFC) meets each month.
Flowing out of our 2020 Annual Meeting | Reimagine Philanthropy and Peer Conversation about Stemming Anti-Black Racism and other conversations, we’re creating space for members to connect and share reflections and questions within small groups.
In 2021, Maryland passed legislation that set up the Growing Opportunities in Family Child Care (GOFCC) program to provide targeted support for individuals to open a registered (licensed) family child care program. During this meeting, Laura Weeldreyer and Lacey Egerton from Maryland Family Network will present details about GOFCC, an implementation grant process, and how the initiative contributes an important solution to help address the child care crisis.
Baltimore Workforce Funders Collaborative (BWFC) meets each month. The Collaborative is a group of private and public funders committed to advancing equity, job quality and systems change efforts that lead to family-sustaining wages, strengthened communities and a vibrant local economy. BWFC members actively fund workforce development, are willing to co-invest, are committed to tracking outcomes and sharing investment data, and work together to improve workforce systems.
