The Funders Together to End Homelessness Baltimore at Maryland Philanthropy Network is pleased to launch its 2024-2026 Strategic Direction. FTEHB’s robust three-year plan outlines specific actions this funder network will carry out. Each year brings new opportunities for the Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF) to grow its presence and increase its positive impact in Baltimore City and Baltimore County. In 2023, after a period of significant growth at the foundation and after the intensity of the first couple of years of the COVID-19 pandemic had passed, the foundation turned its focus inward to develop and launch Inspire, its new strategic plan.

The Annie E. Casey Foundation is saddened to share that Patrice Cromwell, vice president of the Foundation’s Center for Economic Opportunity, passed away on Aug. 27, 2024, after a long illness. Cromwell, who spent nearly 20 years at the Foundation, led its investments to improve financial stability and educational and economic prospects for children, young people and families.

Please join MPN’s Aging Innovations Group and Seniors & Housing Collaborative for an engaging, informative program with Dr. Kali Thomas, newly arrived Stulman Professor in Aging and Community Health at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, who will share her recent research insights on the varied and changing needs and preferences of older adults, particularly in relation to home-based services. While many healthcare entities and community-based organizations are focused on bolstering and moving services to the home, they are often designed for the general target population and struggle to customize and tailor this experience.
