Funders Together to End Homelessness Baltimore Releases New Strategic Direction

The Funders Together to End Homelessness Baltimore at Maryland Philanthropy Network is pleased to launch its 2024-2026 Strategic Direction. FTEHB’s robust three-year plan outlines specific actions this funder network will carry out. FTEHB is committed to adapting to the changing circumstances of those who are unhoused; the realities faced by government leaders, public and private funding; and what it can learn from emerging best practices. The group’s members are excited to have come this far and recognize this as the beginning of a new chapter in their work together.

Profile of Education Giving 2015

We are excited to present our 2015 Profile of Education Giving, which aggregates data about our members’ investments in education.

In 2015, we disseminated an online survey to all members. We received responses from 50 members about the education-related organizations they support and their education focus areas.

The day will begin with an excursion through a portion of the Underground Railroad, including a tour of the Harriet Tubman Museum. Participants will then enjoy lunch and an engaging conversation with local voices to talk about shared goals around both the racial and economic challenges facing rural Maryland and how philanthropy might respond.

Join us for a conversation that will discuss the Baltimore Education Research Consortium (BERC)’s decade long study of post-secondary educational and workforce outcomes of Baltimore City high school graduates and the recent publication of the Baltimore College Fact Book. Findings from a new survey conducted by the Center for Effective Philanthropy (CEP) show that U.S. nonprofits faced major challenges but fared better than expected in 2020, thanks to an infusion of philanthropic and government funding. However, the data reveal concerning disparities in the experiences of women leading nonprofits and of nonprofits serving certain communities of color.
