Join Maryland Philanthropy Network for a peer learning exchange for funders supporting environmental and sustainability issues in Maryland! We take some time to integrate our learnings, share what we are thinking about and focusing on, and discuss our plans for the coming year. Each year brings new opportunities for the Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF) to grow its presence and increase its positive impact in Baltimore City and Baltimore County. In 2023, after a period of significant growth at the foundation and after the intensity of the first couple of years of the COVID-19 pandemic had passed, the foundation turned its focus inward to develop and launch Inspire, its new strategic plan.

Join Maryland Philanthropy Network for an expanded opportunity for all MPN members to convene in our State Capitol. Members will receive updates from state policy makers and sector leaders on the 2025 legislative session including key issues and priorities that affect Maryland communities as well as state budget impacts on philanthropy. The Baltimore City Early Care and Education Landscape Analysis was commissioned by the Baltimore City Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC) and funded by a grant from the Maryland State Department of Education through the Family League of Baltimore City. Additional funding from members of the Prenatal to Five Impact Collaborative at Maryland Philanthropy Network supported editing and design. The Fund for Educational Excellence and the Family League of Baltimore provided project coordination, leadership, and guidance throughout.

The National Fund for Workforce Solutions knows the most effective solutions start with the people closest to the work. The Baltimore Workforce Funders Collaborative (BWFC) at Maryland Philanthropy Network is a powerful example of what’s possible when workforce solutions are rooted in community. During a recent visit, BWFC hosted the National Fund's Board of Directors and staff team for a day that showcased their deep relationships and bold worker-centered approach. From listening and learning to seeing workforce programs in action, it was clear how important deep community relationships are to the success of BWFC’s efforts to reshape the future of work in Baltimore.
