Weinberg Foundation to provide $5 million in response to attacks on Israel
Like many in our country and world, the board and staff of The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation were horrified by the attacks on Israel over the weekend, which constitute the broadest invasion of Israeli territory in decades. These targeted attacks on civilians and the escalating conflict have already killed hundreds, injured thousands more, and destroyed entire communities, and their terrible toll only grows with every new report.
The Foundation will provide $5 million to support active Israeli grantee organizations in addressing emergency and basic needs among the individuals, families, and communities affected by the weekend’s deadly attacks and this war. With the help of their partners on the ground, they will assess and identify where the needs are greatest to determine specific nonprofits to receive the first round of funding.
