Baltimore has long faced a crisis of vacant and abandoned homes, which makes communities less safe and hurts families’ ability to build wealth through homeownership.
The United Philanthropy Forum has compiled a list of resources for relief efforts for Hurricane Dorian to support those who have been impacted. Please be sure to share the resources with your members to support the communities during these trying times.
We have long said that philanthropy has more to contribute to improving community conditions than just dollars.
Over the past 40 years, the United States has resettled more than three million refugees. In response to the Syrian refugee crisis, the U.S. government has agreed to increase its refugee resettlement quota from 70,000 annually to 80,000 in 2016 and 100,000 in 2017.
