2018 PolicyWorks Institute

2018 PolicyWorks Institute

Sunday, March 11, 2018, 12:00 - 12:00 AM

The PolicyWorks Insititute, presented by United Philanthropy Forum, is the one opportunity each year for regional and national philanthropy-serving organizations to take a “deep dive” together to strengthen your policy and advocacy work.

During the Forum's 2018 PolicyWorks Institute, Forum members and their volunteer leaders will come together to build their policy skills, network with your peers, and engage in thought-provoking discussions on our policy work. By attending the Institute, philanthropy-serving organization (PSO) staff and volunteer leaders will:

  • strategize on effective tactics for encouraging funders to support systems change;
  • learn promising approaches for affinity group policy work;
  • share ideas for individual and collective action on state and federal policy issues; and
  • discuss philanthropy’s role in strengthening democracy.

Directly following the conclusion of the PolicyWorks Institute, the Forum will kick off the 2018 Foundations on the Hill (March 12-14) at a joint reception in the evening on Monday, March 12, followed by FOTH programming and Hill visits on March 13-14.

The 2018 PolicyWorks Institute and 2018 Foundations on the Hill programming will take place at the Liaison Capitol Hill, located just blocks from the Capitol at 415 New Jersey Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001. Rooms are available at the discounted rate of $309 + tax. Reservations can be made online or by calling 888- 513-7445 referencing the group name “2018 Foundations on The Hill.”
