The Women’s Giving Circle of Howard County had a wonderful night celebrating women, community, and Black Philanthropy Month on August 1 at the Women's Giving Circle of Howard County's Black Philanthropy Month Happy Hour at The 3rd. The WGC is proud to continue support for Black Philanthropy Month, which is observed every August. The primary aims of BPM are informing, involving, inspiring and investing in Black philanthropic leadership to strengthen African-American and African-descent giving in all its forms, for the benefit of our planet, our communities, our organizations and our lives.
Residents of the Greater Washington region are struggling to catch up and keep up financially. New data gives us a window into the lives of our region’s residents, and the precarity they face at a time we all hoped would be more prosperous.
Kelley Q. Kilduff, a longtime friend of The Marion I. & Henry J. Knott Foundation and our valued Executive Director, has submitted her resignation, and the Board has regretfully accepted it, effective March 14, 2025. As we navigate this transition, Kathleen McCarthy, the Foundation’s Program Director, will step into the role of Interim Executive Director. We appreciate your support and partnership during this period of change.
