As we contend with two seismically important events — the Covid -19 pandemic and the uprisings over police brutality and systemic racism — foundations and nonprofits need to work harder than ever to build trust in their programs and policies.
Havaca Ganguly is Executive Director of The Middendorf Foundation which provides capital and one-time grants that support six areas of grantmaking focus. When Havaca took over the one staff position in late 2019, the foundation had a chance to reflect on their practices and reset operations. In March 2022, we spoke with Havaca to learn more about their process and what they're excited about for the future.

Casey Foundation, and the Goldseker Foundation, the Baltimore Integration Partnership (BIP) launched 2.0 in 2014 to deepen anchor institution’s efforts to support area residents, businesses and communities.
Over 2 million people have been affected and over 200,000 people died as a result of the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti. 188,383 houses have been damaged or destroyed. Over 1.5 million displaced people living in 1,241 settlement sites. There are 4,758 schools that have been damaged or destroyed.*
