Updates from the Baltimore Integration Partnership, a project hosted by the Maryland Philanthropy Network.
Updates from the Baltimore Integration Partnership, a project hosted by the Maryland Philanthropy Network.
Maryland Philanthropy Network is pleased to host our annual Responsive Philanthropy in the Black Community (RPBC) Training, in partnership with the Maryland Philanthropy Network of Black Foundation Executives (ABFE).
The philanthropic sector must understand the necessity for advocacy and public policy as a core element in their grantmaking for real impact. Join Maryland Philanthropy Network and our speakers to learn about navigating advocacy in the philanthropic landscape and how foundations take on advocacy efforts as well as explore how funders support advocates that are important especially considering current events.
All grantmakers are invited to participate in this four-part professional development series taught by our region's experienced practitioners, presented by Maryland Philanthropy Network. Session Three will cover understanding nonprofit financial statements with Jennifer Pedroni, Director at BDO FMA. Participants will learn how to read and understand budgets and financial statements to assess the health of an organization. They will also learn what questions to ask and understand how to interpret the numbers based on a nonprofit organization's age, mission, or funding streams.
This year Maryland Philanthropy Network is reuniting for our first in-person meeting since 2019 to celebrate our 40th Anniversary! MPN members are invited to join us for a morning of reconnection, celebration, and updates on the vibrant activities of our network. We are excited to have Susan Taylor Batten, president and chief executive officer of ABFE: A Philanthropic Partnership for Black Communities, as our keynote speaker to inspire and challenge us as we continue working together for an equitable and just Maryland.
This program is at capacity and is no longer accepting registrations. Please add your name to the waitlist, and we will contact you if space opens up.
Maryland Philanthropy Network’s Annual Member Gathering is an opportunity for members to connect, rejuvenate, and celebrate as a philanthropic community. This year our theme is "Courageous Philanthropy: Powering Possibility." During our gathering, we will highlight a variety of ways those in our network are navigating complexity, acting courageously, and advancing their missions in today’s changing landscape.
