All grantmakers are invited to participate in this four-part professional development series taught by our region's experienced practitioners, presented by Maryland Philanthropy Network. Session 1 will cover the philanthropic ecosystem. Participants will get to know one another, locate their own foundation or giving program within the broader context of philanthropy, and reflect on their organizations’ areas of interests and goals, as well as ways to communicate with potential grantees and partners.
A message to the Maryland Philanthropy Network membership from our Interim President and CEO Kevin McHugh.

Maryland is changing – bringing new possibilities, diverse people, and a shifting economy. This is a moment when we are ahead of many parts of the country, and it is to our advantage to reimagine our state for the future.
With seed funding from a cross-section of philanthropic organizations, grants from the Baltimore Small Business Support Fund will help the organizations build capacity. The groups will also form a cohort to share best practices.
