Meet and Greet with Incoming City Schools’ Chief Executive Officer

The Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners (Board) recently announced the unanimous selection of Dr. Jermaine Dawson as the next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Baltimore City Public Schools (City Schools), effective July 1, 2026. He currently serves as Deputy Superintendent of Academic Services at the School District of Philadelphia and will succeed Dr. Sonja Brookins Santelises, after her decade of dedicated leadership ends on June 30, 2026. Maryland Philanthropy Network invites all members to join us for this opportunity to meet Dr. Dawson and welcome him to our community. Board Chair Robert Salley and Dr. Dawson will make brief comments, and there will be time to engage.
