Putting People With Disabilities Front of Mind, a Small Organization Revamps Operations

Maryland Philanthropy Network recently spoke with The Chronicle of Philanthropy about changes to MPN's physical space, communications, and programs to be more welcoming to disabled people. The article shares a number of specific changes as well as highlights a number of useful tools and resources other organizations can utilize. In June 2021 ahead of the 31st anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Maryland Philanthropy joined more than 40 foundations, nonprofits, and philanthropy-serving groups in signing a Disability Inclusion Pledge to reshape programs, policies, and practices to be more inclusive of people with disabilities.
