Stabilizing Baltimore Neighborhoods – What Does the Data Tell Us?

Stabilizing Baltimore Neighborhoods – What Does the Data Tell Us?

Tuesday, February 23, 2016, 8:45 - 8:45 AM

As grantmakers and public agencies work together to stabilize neighborhoods and grow the population, what does the data tell us and how are we using the data to inform strategies? Do we understand the conditions and trends that are factors in attracting new residents to Baltimore as well as the reasons why people are moving out? What do we know about neighborhoods and school utilization? What is important to families that might be considering a move?

Join us for a panel presentation as we explore these topics. We will be joined by:

  • Jessica Varsa, Division Chief for Research and Strategic Planning Baltimore City Department of Planning;
  • Dr. Lynette Boswell Washington, Director of Schools and Facilities Planning at Baltimore City Public Schools; and
  • Steven Gondol, Executive Director, Live Baltimore.

This program is sponsored by Maryland Philanthropy Network’s Community Investment Affinity Group for Maryland Philanthropy Network members only. Lunch will be served.

This program was originally schedule for January 27, 2016.
