Screening and Panel Discussion: Baltimore’s Strange Fruit, A Story of Food Apartheid and the Struggle for Sovereignty

All members are invited to a screening of Baltimore's Strange Fruit, a documentary film produced by Black Yield Institute, directed by Eric Jackson and Maddie Hardy, exploring the intersections of food, land, and race and class politics through personal narrative and social commentary. Members may remember this film was highlighted during Maryland Philanthropy Network’s 2018 Annual Meeting keynote address by Rev. Dr. Heber Brown, III.

Following the screening, join a discussion with people whose work and perspectives are featured in the film.
