Focus on City Schools: Principal Pipeline Update

In September 2021, Baltimore City Public Schools announced it had been chosen as participants in The Wallace Foundation’s Equity-Centered Pipeline Initiative. This five-year endeavor has supported eight large, high-needs districts to build evidence-based principal pipelines with the goal of developing principals who can advance each district’s own vision of equity.  

Now that the funding is coming to a close, join Maryland Philanthropy Network’s Education Funders Affinity Group to learn more about how City Schools has embedded the work to strengthen and sustain principal pipelines, and how these initiatives are developing principals who can advance their vision of equity and contribute to the academic success of students. We’ll also hear about the projected path forward for the work and any remaining needs for support, financial or otherwise. 

Our speaker will be Dr. Tracey L. Durant, Senior Executive Director, Office of Equity, Baltimore City Public Schools.
