Workforce Community Conversation: Pivoting for Collaboration and Sustainability
Workforce development providers and funders are invited to join us for the latest Workforce Community Conversation, a space of honest conversation to advance a shared sense of mutual understanding, accountability, and possibility.
The September 15 event will focus on collaboration and innovation as an approach to dealing with the shifting policy and funding environment facing workforce development in the Baltimore region.
Agenda:
Workforce Community Conversation | 2:00 – 4:00PM ET |
Happy Hour | 4:00 – 5:30PM ET |
The goals of the event are to:
- create a safe space to discuss impacts of the present funding and policy context on the Baltimore workforce development ecosystem and strategies for building resiliency and sustainability;
- explore what is possible when we work in collaboration;
- enhance a sense of community and mutual support among providers and funders;
- increase opportunities for workforce development providers to inform and influence grantmaking and public investments, particularly around enhanced collaboration and sustainability;
- identify opportunities to turn ideas and conversations into practices at an ecosystem level; and
- identify policies and issues for collective advocacy.
Who is organizing this event? These Community Conversations are convened by the Baltimore Workforce Funders Collaborative (BWFC), an initiative of Maryland Philanthropy Network. They are designed and guided by a multi-stakeholder sub-committee. The Baltimore Workforce Funders Collaborative hosts Workforce Community Conversations to provide a space for connection, understanding, and collaboration amongst workforce development providers and funders.
