Henson Foundation donates $250,000 to nonprofits affected by COVID-19

Lower Shore nonprofits impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak are getting a major boost from the Richard A. Henson Foundation.

On Monday, the foundation announced a $250,000 contribution to assist nonprofits during the COVID-19 outbreak. The funding will be split between the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore and United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore who will then distribute between their respective nonprofits. "Core to our mission for the Henson Foundation is to allocate resources as Mr. Henson intended,” said Steve Farrow, RAHF Chairman, in a news release. “We are confident he would have wanted to provide leadership during this unprecedented crisis. We hope our gift will inspire other donors to offer their support."
