Capacity Building: Baltimore – Strengthening our Arts and Cultural Organizations

Thursday, November 12, 2015, 3:00 - 4:30 PM

Since February 2015, twenty Baltimore arts and cultural organizations, ranging from The Baltimore Museum of Art to Make Studio, have been receiving intensive training in such areas as long-term artistic planning, board development and engagement, marketing, fundraising, and strategic planning through Capacity Building: Baltimore. This program of the DeVos Institute of Arts Management provides executives and board members with intensive, one-on-one consultation as they proceed with complex capacity building projects, including joint ventures, mergers, succession planning, capital campaigns, and real estate expansion.

Join a conversation with Brett Egan, President of the DeVos Institute, about this program and what the Institute is learning related to the capacity of arts organizations in Baltimore. We’ll also discuss the interests of Maryland Philanthropy Network members and how we can advance the diverse arts and cultural sector in our region toward long-term sustainability.

This program is for Maryland Philanthropy Network members and invited guests only.
