Experts will provide an overview of the Maryland Total Cost of Care Health Model and the efforts and challenges of hospital and non-hospital systems to transition from the hospital-based All-Payer Model to Maryland’s unique model for health care financing and health delivery system reform. This Model supports public and private sector investment in community health, behavioral health, and initiatives that address disparities.  The presenters will also discuss ways that philanthropic organizations can contribute to create a healthier population in Maryland.  

Maryland Philanthropy Network’s Health Funders Affinity Group is pleased to host Maryland Department of Health’s Secretary Laura Herrera Scott for a conversation about the Secretary’s vision for the Department and its strategies to promote lifelong health and wellness for all Marylanders.  She will speak on their efforts to promote and improve the health and safety of Maryland residents of all ages through disease prevention, access to care, quality management, and community engagement.
